    Lentulo Consulting is currently seeking construction/building inspectors for multiple small projects on a university campus in San Diego.

    The inspector will work as part of the facilities management team, and the inspector’s daily presence of eight (8) hours per day is mandatory. Inspectors should have experience with conventional wall framing, common methods of structural anchorage (adhesive and expansion anchors), basic HVAC knowledge, and electrical work in office/ commercial /non-residential buildings.

    Daily inspection reports are required but there are no semi-monthlies or final affidavits to file.

    Specific requirements:
    1. OSHPD Class B, DSA Class 3, or ICC Combination Building Inspector
    2. 5 years minimum inspection experience is preferred.
    3. Start date May 22, 2017

The scope of inspections will include monitoring the work of the shops as they make summer repairs, inspecting to Title 24 standards and the published specifications of SDSU, and writing daily reports.

    SDSU is under the jurisdiction of the Trustees, and has a Building Official as a permanent employee. DSA reviews the plans only for Title 24 Accessibility requirements, however, the university desires to hire DSA-certified inspectors for its projects.
